National Post Grad Showcase Day 3

RS Phoenix vs. Rock Academy:

Robinson School coming off a tough loss in OT to Trent Prep last night was not taking any chances, and took a commanding lead over the young Rock Team, who was also missing 3 key players due to ankle sprains. However, we saw the emergence of kid named Lindon Lulgiuraj, a 6’5 point guard from Bloomfield. This kid who was quiet all weekend, played like a possessed demon today. Every shot he took was pure perfection. Two point shot, here, three point shots there, he could not miss. Lulgiuraj led all scorers by halftime with 15 points, and 4 three’s. By the end of regulation he finished with 22 points, and the MVP Game Trophy was his. If he can play with such passion every night, he would surely be sitting on a D1 scholarship. Rock, without its three key big men, could not stop the relentless attach by 6’9 Ramon Johnson, who played like a man among boys, which was the truth, as Rock has 15 year olds on their team, Ramon finished with another double double of 12 points, and 10 rebounds, as Robinson pounced Rock into submission. Rock’s Floor General Codeinera could not launch those threes like the previous game as Robinson’s defense led by Jaelyn Coston shut down Rock’s offense, but still managed to finish with 10 points, and his teammates
Bronson Fridal, and Jalen Griffiths kept the team competitive with 18 and 13 points respectively.
